Strictly Come Dancing Final: Who is favourite after Sunday’s Elimination?

Oddsboom.co.uk TV expert Dave James looks at the latest movers and shakers in the Next Strictly Come Dancing odds markets, as the BBC announces a major shakeup.

Next Strictly Come Dancing Presenter Odds

  • Zoe Ball 11/8
  • Fleur East 2/1
  • Janette Manrara 3/1
  • Rylan Clark 5/1
  • Amanda Holden 6/1
  • Angela Scanlon 6/1
  • Bradley Walsh 7/1
  • Alison Hammond 8/1
  • Rob Rinder 9/1
  • Alan Carr 10/1

Zoe Ball is the bookmakers’ clear favourite at 11/8 to be next Strictly Presenter, giving her a 42.1 percent chance, (Ladbrokes have already closed the market, they think she’s a certainty) with her recent exit from Radio 2 strengthening belief that she is being lined up for a return to BBC primetime on Strictly Come Dancing.

Fleur East and Janette Manrara are the leading Strictly insiders, priced at 2/1 and 3/1 respectively, with their combined experience as contestants, presenters and former professional dancers making them natural fits for the role.

Rylan Clark remains a strong contender at 5/1 thanks to his four year stint hosting It Takes Two, while Amanda Holden has emerged as a high profile outsider at 6/1 with significant live television experience.

Other names still in the mix include Angela Scanlon at 6/1, Alison Hammond at 8/1, Bradley Walsh at 7/1, Rob Rinder at 9/1 and Alan Carr at 10/1 as the BBC prepares for life after Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman.

As Strictly Come Dancing prepares for a new era, bookmakers have installed Zoe Ball as the clear favourite to replace Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman. Priced at 11/8, Ball has an implied chance of 42.1 percent of landing the role.

Her recent decision to step away from her Radio 2 lunchtime show has only strengthened speculation that she is being lined up for a high profile return to BBC primetime, with her live presenting experience making her a strong fit for the ballroom.”

“Fleur East is next in the betting at 2/1, giving her a 33.3 percent chance. The former X Factor finalist has become a key part of the Strictly family through her role co hosting It Takes Two, as well as finishing runner up on the main show in 2022. Janette Manrara also features prominently at 3/1, or a 25 percent chance, having successfully transitioned from professional dancer to presenter and remaining one of the show’s most popular personalities.”

“Rylan Clark is another leading contender at 5/1, which equates to a 16.7 percent chance. His four year spell hosting It Takes Two and broad BBC presenting background keep him firmly in contention, despite recent controversy.

Amanda Holden is priced at 6/1, giving her a 14.3 percent chance, and is seen as a high profile outsider with significant live television experience and mainstream appeal.”

Further down the market, Angela Scanlon is also available at 6/1 after competing on the show in 2023, while Alison Hammond sits at 8/1, an implied probability of 11.1 percent.

Bradley Walsh is priced at 7/1, Rob Rinder at 9/1 and Alan Carr at 10/1, all of whom remain on the wider shortlist as the BBC weighs up its options ahead of the post Daly and Winkleman era.”
