Antoine Semenyo Next Club Odds – Man City eye Bournemouth star

Manchester City’s interest in Bournemouth forward Antoine Semenyo has added a dramatic twist to the early transfer narrative ahead of the 2026 deadline. Pep Guardiola’s side are reported to be monitoring the winger closely, with a £65 million release clause set to become active when the January window opens.

City are said to view the 24-year-old as an ideal addition to ease the goalscoring burden on Erling Haaland, particularly after a period where depth in attacking areas has become a clear focus for the Premier League champions.

Liverpool currently lead the betting at 9/4, reflecting strong market sentiment that they could make a move if Semenyo decides the time is right for a step up. The Reds have been reshaping their forward line over the past two seasons, and Semenyo’s dynamism on the right side would fit neatly into their high-pressing system. However, there has been little concrete evidence of talks so far, and much of Liverpool’s position in the market appears to stem from long-term scouting interest rather than imminent negotiations.

Manchester City sit just behind at 3/1, and of all the clubs in the frame, they look the most active right now. Guardiola has already demonstrated a willingness to pay release clauses for attackers who fit his tactical blueprint, and Semenyo’s pace, direct running, and improved end product make him a compelling option. Even so, City will be mindful of squad balance and Premier League homegrown rules, meaning any approach may depend on outgoings in January.

Tottenham Hotspur, priced at 9/2, cannot be dismissed either. Ange Postecoglou is keen to add more verticality and speed to his attacking line, and Semenyo’s profile matches Spurs’ recent recruitment strategy. While they may struggle to beat City or Liverpool financially, Spurs have shown in recent windows that they are more than prepared to back Postecoglou with significant transfer funds when the right target becomes available.

Manchester United are further back at 9/1, but their situation remains unpredictable as the club continues its rebuild under INEOS. Semenyo’s versatility, capable of playing across the front three would be attractive to United, particularly with uncertainty surrounding the long-term futures of several attackers. However, United’s priority is expected to be a central striker rather than a wide forward, which may explain their longer odds.

Chelsea at 12/1, Arsenal at 16/1, and Newcastle at 20/1 round out the domestic Premier League contenders. Chelsea have not shied away from signing emerging talents, but their focus on younger, developmental profiles may push them toward alternative options. Arsenal, meanwhile, are unlikely to enter a bidding war unless the price drops significantly, while Newcastle would need to navigate Financial Fair Play restrictions to make a deal happen.

Beyond England, European giants such as PSG (25/1), Aston Villa (25/1), and Barcelona (28/1) have also been priced up, though each comes with complications. PSG’s attacking hierarchy is in flux, but their interest appears speculative. Aston Villa remain ambitious under Unai Emery, yet a £65m fee might stretch their resources. Barcelona, battling economic constraints, look like the least likely destination despite their history of bold January moves.

At this stage, Manchester City’s active monitoring combined with Liverpool’s strong odds makes the Premier League giants the standout contenders. With Semenyo’s release clause poised to spark a mid-season scramble, Bournemouth may face a battle to keep hold of one of their key attackers as clubs across Europe weigh up a January move.
